Industry Focus – Digital Media
The Digital Media sector primarily includes companies seeking to garner the consumer’s attention (formerly known as “B2C” during the dotcom boom). The monetization approach tends to center around ad-supported and/or subscription models. There are a handful of what we call Global Platforms that attract a disproportionately large audience and serve aggregation, discovery and communication functions for their users. Conversely, there are more focused business models that cover a range of subsectors that seek to leverage business relationships with the Global Platforms and/or pioneer independent approaches to achieve their business goals.
